I first heard about second chance apartments three years ago I stumbled upon the website, crying due to the fact I am in an abusive marriage, not physical, but married to a true blue narcissist. It was three years ago right about the time we were gonna sign our lease he started scaring me saying all these different things knowing that I couldn’t afford our apartment on my own due to no rental history and not making enough money.I called them up. Wasn’t sure if I was prepared yet to leave, but they took their time with me checked up on me for months after . It turned out I wasn’t ready yet. The second year same time the lease was coming up different scare tactic so he could be the hero at the end of the day and swoop in and say oh no I’ll stay with you. Let’s keep it the lease going again. So respectively told them that I’m gonna sign again with my husband. And from time to time, they would always check up on me. They were there for me again. Not intrusive just a soft feeling that someone if you needed them they would pick back up where you left off and I felt that from them and it meant a lot to me.Here we are third year ready to sign the lease. He starts scaring me about two months ago. I started thinking about calling second chance apartments again and one day I did but this time I was ready I paid my $189 the best money I’ve ever spent not only do they walk you through the process step-by-step they give you emotional support that really was appreciated and needed. Her name was Esther. She started the ball rolling walking me through she was sweet and genuine and really took the time to talk and listen to me . The next step was when Esther assigned me,Leyma ,she jumped in went straight to work. I paid the 189.00 I started receiving apartments at least six or seven the first day. I looked up some that I was interested in also. The next day, Leyma got in contact with mostly everybody or left messages two or three times and it was very easy to read her bullet points with each apartment. I already had my favorite in mind so I was ready to put my application in. I’m a pharmacy technician I do not make a lot of money but still in all they found me an apartment I loved. Again, I’m considered low credit because I don’t have a history but because of second chance apartments being my advocate made it smooth sailing. I am proud to say that I will be moving into my new apartment shortly. I can’t thank them enough from the bottom of my heart as I’m writing this I’m crying happy tears. Who ever needs to hear this Know that it works and they are to help you, and want too see you succeed.
